Primary sources only
Every program detail traces back to a .gov source. HUD.gov, SSA.gov, USDA, IRS, VA, state agency portals. We do not rest on Wikipedia, marketing sites, or other blogs as our basis for any claim.
◢ How we work
Most grant content on the open web is wrong, outdated, or selling something. This page explains exactly how we research, verify, and update every guide so you can decide whether to trust what we publish.
Every program detail traces back to a .gov source. HUD.gov, SSA.gov, USDA, IRS, VA, state agency portals. We do not rest on Wikipedia, marketing sites, or other blogs as our basis for any claim.
Federal benefit amounts, income limits, and program rules change. Every guide has a Verified date at the top. If the date is older than 30 days, we are behind on review and you should double-check current eligibility with the agency.
We are journalists who read federal handbooks for a living. We are not LCSWs, attorneys, or financial planners. Our guides explain how programs work. They do not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice for your situation.
If you find a number, deadline, or eligibility rule that is wrong, email us at contact@grantshubusa.com. We log every correction publicly at the bottom of the relevant guide and ship the fix within 48 hours.
◢ Process
The steps are deliberately boring. Boring is what produces accurate content.
Topic intake. Editor identifies a federal or state program that affects 100,000+ households and is not yet covered, or has changed since our last update.
Source pull. We collect the primary regulation, the agency program page, the most recent appropriations figure, and any open Federal Register comments.
Draft. Editor writes the guide with embedded citations. No claim ships without an inline link to the source.
Fact-check pass. A second editor verifies every dollar figure, deadline, and eligibility threshold against the cited source.
Published with a Verified date stamp. The date sits at the top of the page so readers know how fresh the data is.
30-day re-verify cycle. The guide returns to the editor queue every 30 days. If anything changed at the source, we update and bump the Verified date.
◢ What we will not do
We do not promote paid 'grant directories' or 'business funding coaches.' Real federal grants are at grants.gov, free.
We do not run ads from grant scammers or for-profit education with poor outcomes data.
We do not write affiliate-only content. If a guide mentions a product, the product is a tool the editor uses or recommends without compensation.
We do not ghostwrite for sponsors. Brand-funded content is impossible to publish on this site.
We do not 'optimize for engagement' by hyping outrage. The site exists to help readers claim benefits they qualify for, full stop.
